| grad school update #3 |

hi guys.
i've now been accepted to all three schools - Missouri, Boston, and as of today via email, Ohio.
i rock!
also, Ohio's offered a guaranteed assistantship for the first year, and most likely for the third of five total quarters. (that's the max they offer.)
time to get on the assistantship apps for Missouri . . . hopefully those decisions will be made before the deadlines. although i think Missouri ranks highest, Ohio's just earned a higher spot in my decision-making process.
sorry, Boston. unless you sweeten the deal, :: cue heidi klum voice :: you are out. |

yes. i just heard, via email. i’ve been accepted into University of Missouri’s School of Journalism for photojournalism.
wow.
now to stalk the mailbox for ohio’s decision, and researching whether or not this will work. yikes. wow.

friends, non-friends, lovers, non-lovers, and all in between,
i hear rumors floating around the intarwebs that LiveJournal is in some big trouble with the Russians at the helm. i've been writing here, off and on, for around seven years. granted, i don't read back often . . . but the idea of losing words i once took for granted scares me. i have journals at home that date back to third grade. now, at 27, i still revel in delight reading the insanity that poured out of my head during the best of times and the worst of times. i would like to have the opportunity to do the same with the entries here, no matter how painful or joyful the memory.
with that, i am marking this as the last entry before the "booking."
the "booking," you ask?
yes. i discovered a website called LJBook, where it says it will PDF all entries. i do not know if comments are included, but that's incidental. really, i'd hate to lose all your kind words, but saving my words ranks highest at the moment.
here's to a new year, and to preserving the past.

39. Gone rock climbing (photographed the real thing, but tried it in a rock gym)

51. Gone scuba diving or snorkeling (in the Red Sea, off Eilat. in 50 degree weather.)

54. Gone to a drive-in theater (saw the Matrix there. it was so incongruous.)
55. Been in a movie (yay film student friends in college!)

57. Started a business (does freelancing count?)
58. Taken a martial arts class. (my parents are Karate instructors. i've taken many.)
